Living Green though Suds

For weeks now, I have been trying to find the time to make it out to the handmade soap store. Believe it or not, the only store in the Southeast is here in Orlando's airport. What a score! Then I realized how inconvenient it was to drive to the airport for some soap. Needless to say, I am excited to share a new find - a new soap company in our own backyard. Urban Soaps Company is a welcome addition to the retail scene here in College Park.

One stop along the "Green Tour" is Cavanaugh's Fine Wines. They will highlight their organic wines. Organic wines typically refer to wines made from organically grown grapes. Come and taste the difference. Want to learn more? This will be the time and place to ask.

Go Green for the Holidays is a unique environmentally friendly shopping event that will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2007 from 5:30 to 9 PM. Local College Park businesses are sponsoring this event to get the word out on how everybody can “go green” this holiday season. Organic, local, earth-friendly and sustainable gifts and services will be featured at the event, alongside great food, beverages and an abundance of goodie bags.

Simply start your green tour of College Park at Infusion Tea, Orlando’s organic tea café, located at 1600 Edgewater Drive. Then relax and let eco-friendly transportation escort you up and down the main avenue.
